DECORATING IDEAS

Here are some decorating ideas to get your party hoppin':

BALLOON BUNNIES

These cute balloons are the only decoration you need to get everyone in the mood to have a hoppin' good time. A bunch of them make a delightful centerpiece for your table.

    WHAT YOU NEED

  • At least one 12” helium-filled balloon for each child
  • 1 piece of 8 1/2” x 11” pink construction paper per balloon.
  • Nontoxic glue or glue stick
  • Colored marker pens
  • Cellophane tape

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Using the white construction paper, cut two 6” tall bunny ears for each balloon. The ears should be about 3-inches wide at the widest point.
  • Next, using the pink construction paper, cut out two smaller ear shapes, about 1 1/2” wide, for each balloon.
  • Use our "Hoppin' Bunny" ears template for a pattern
  • Fold the bottom of the ears (about 1”) and tape 2 ears to the top of each balloon.
  • Now, draw a bunny face onto the balloons with a marker pen. Don't forget 2 big front teeth, whiskers and a big smile.
  • If the children will be sitting at a table, tie a Balloon Bunny to each child's chair.
  • If you wish, tie them into a bunch and tape them to the center of the table, or just tie them all around the room.

PARTY FUN

FUNNY BUNNY EARS

Turn all the kids into little bunnies with these adorable party favors.

    WHAT YOU NEED

  • Purchase 1 inexpensive child's plastic headband for each guest
  • 1 piece of 8 1/2” x 11” heavy white construction paper per child
  • 1 piece of 8 1/2” x 11” heavy pink construction paper per child
  • Non toxic craft glue

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Using instructions from "Balloon Bunnies", cut and assemble sets of bunny ears for each child.
  • Fold the ears around the headband and glue securely.

DO THE BUNNY HOP

Kids have to listen carefully with their big bunny ears and know their numbers as they "hippety-hop" to the cabbage patch to pick up their treats in this bunny version of "Mother May I?"

    WHAT YOU NEED

  • A basket, box or bowl
  • A strip of masking tape
  • Inexpensive, small, plush bunny toys or candy treats such as NESTLÉ® WONDERBALL® or WONKA® Bars

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Have an adult or older sibling be the "Bunny Mommy"
  • Have the children line up, each facing the finish line (about 10’-12’ away)
  • The Bunny Mommy asks the children to hop on over to her. For example:
    • If she says "The Bunny says take 3 hops" the children may hop 3 times.
    • If she says only "Take 3 hops", the children may not hop. If they do, they must go back 3 hops.
  • The Bunny Mommy continues to call out hopping instructions – using a different number of hops each time – until each child reaches the Bunny Patch and chooses a treat.

PUZZLING BUNNY

Little bunnies can sit in a circle to play this puzzling game.
THIS GAME IS TO BE MADE BY ADULTS ONLY.

    WHAT YOU NEED

  • 6” x 6” cardboard squares
  • Photos of bunnies (cut from magazines or found online and printed)
  • Scissors
  • One small container for each child. A 15 oz empty NESTLÉ® NESQUIK® container would be fun to use for this activity

    HOW TO DO IT
  • Cut out photographs of bunnies, or draw bunnies on a piece of paper.
  • Glue bunny pictures to the cardboard squares.
  • Cut the squares into simple jigsaw shapes, or for younger kids, into smaller square pieces.
  • Place the pieces in the containers and hand 1 container to each child.
  • Sitting in a circle, have the children dump out their puzzle pieces and assemble them.
  • When they are finished, they can put the pieces back into the container and pass it along to the next child.
  • Be sure to help kids who are having trouble putting the pieces together.

    FUN FOOD IDEAS

  • Bake or purchase a "bunny" cake
  • Serve NESTLÉ® NESQUIK Strawberry Flavor in clear plastic cups.
  • Draw a bunny face on each cup with colored markers and serve with two straws (the bunny's ears).

    FOLLOW-UP FUN

  • Make a Bunny Birthday photo album with your child. Include photos and add fun captions to each.
  • Make birthday pancakes in the shape of bunny ears and decorate with GOOBERS®, RAISINETS® or SNO-CAPS®

    TIPS

  • You can rent helium tanks or purchase helium balloons at most party stores.
