Bouncy Spider

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Print out the spider template.

  • Use the template to cut out a circle 6 3/4” in diameter from black craft foam.

  • Adhere the black craft foam circle to the outside of the NESQUIK lid using a hot glue gun. Be sure the two pieces are centered.

  • Paint eyes and a mouth using white acrylic paint, and let dry.

  • Apply glow-in-the-dark paint over the white eyes and mouth, and let dry.

  • You may want to use 2 coats of glow-in-the-dark paint to be sure that you've completely covered the eyes.

  • Cut 4 pieces of black pipe cleaner in half to make eight legs.

  • (PARENTS ONLY) Poke 8 holes along the inside rim of the NESQUIK lid with a utility knife. You can use a ballpoint pen to make the holes large enough for the pipe cleaner to fit through.

  • Thread 1 pipe cleaner through each hole, inserting it about 1/2”. Fold the ends down along the inner rim of the lid to hold in place.

  • Bend the pipe cleaner legs in the middle to resemble bent spider legs.

  • Punch a hole at the top of the craft foam and string 10“ of elastic thread through, tying the ends in a knot to secure.

  • Your spider is ready to bounce and glow!

Bouncy Ghost

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Print out the ghost template.

  • Use the template to cut the ghost shape from white craft foam.

  • Adhere the white craft foam ghost to the outside of the NESQUIK lid using a hot glue gun.

  • Using a hot glue gun adhere the plastic strips to the bottom back side of the ghost.

  • Draw eyes and a mouth on your ghost using a permanent black marker. See the template for an example of a ghost face

  • Punch a hole at the top of the craft foam and string 10” of elastic thread through, tying the ends in a knot to secure.

  • Your ghost is ready to bounce!

    TIPS

  • Be sure to place you spider/ghost in sunlight or artificial light for at least a half hour before hanging in the dark for the full glow effect.

  • If you want your ghost to glow as well, you can outline the body, and his eyes and mouth with glow-in-the-dark paint.
