    WHAT YOU NEED

  • 1 - 40.7 oz NESTLÉ® NESQUIK® Powder canister
  • 4 - 6 clear plastic sandwich bags
  • 1 recipe for Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies (see recipe below)
  • Plastic wrap
  • Yellow and blue curling ribbon

  • 1 - 10” x 10” x 10” packing box (available at box or packing stores)
  • Safety scissors
  • Packing tape
  • Black or blue marker pen

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Make 1 recipe of Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies. (see recipe below)

  • Make sure the cookies are no more than 4 1/2” in diameter so that they will fit into the canister.

  • Empty the contents of one 40.7 oz NESQUIK Powder canister into a large plastic storage bag.

  • The empty canister will be used to protect the cookies inside the packing box during shipping.

  • Scoop several heaping spoonfulls of the NESQUIK Powder into each of the plastic sandwich bags. The bags should be about 1/3 full.

  • Tie each bag securely with yellow or blue curling ribbon.

  • These little bags of NESQUIK Powder go with the cookies as part of your child's treat. Your child can add the powder to a carton of milk or mix both into a separate glass or cup provided at camp. Instructions are on the outside of the empty NESQUIK canister that holds the cookies.

  • Make sure the cookies are completely cooled before wrapping and packing.

  • Wrap each cookie in a square of cling wrap and tie with yellow and blue curling ribbon.

  • Pour a layer of packing "peanuts" on the bottom of the NESQUIK canister.

  • Place one of the wrapped cookies on top of the "peanuts".

  • Continue layering the cookies and the "peanuts" until you have filled the canister.

  • Pour additional "peanuts" around the sides of the cookies so that they are secure inside the canister.

  • Include a note or poem from everyone at home.

  • Seal the canister with its lid.

  • Set the cookie-filled canister vertically inside a 10” x 10” x 10” brown packing box.

  • Fill the box with the packing "peanuts" or crumbled newspaper.

  • Set the baggies of NESQUIK Powder in the packing material, circling the canister.

  • Seal the outside of the packing box with packaging tape.

  • Place clear tape over the sender and recipient addresses.

  • Mark "Perishable" or "Fragile" on all sides of the box.

  • Take the package to the post office and mail to your camper.
