Show your colors and keep cool at the same time with this fun to make patriotic fan.

Patriotic Fun
Ages: Adults and Kids 6 and Up
Duration: Over One Hour

    WHAT YOU NEED

  • 1-48.7 oz NESTLÉ® NESQUIK® canister lid (for each fan)
  • Sheets of craft foam (red, white and blue)
  • Jumbo craft stick (6” long)
  • Craft glue gun
  • Permanent marker
  • Safety scissors
  • Utility knife

    HOW TO DO IT

  • Print out the patriotic fan templates.

  • Cut out the fan pieces from the appropriate colors of craft foam.

  • Arrange them onto the outside of the lid and secure them with craft glue.

  • (PARENTS ONLY) Turn the fan over and cut off a 1” portion of the bottom lip of the lid, (the width of the jumbo craft stick).

  • Place the jumbo craft stick vertically into the cutout area in the back of the fan. Make sure that you have about 4” of the stick coming below the fan for the handle. Glue the upper portion of the stick to the back of the fan.

  • Once the fan is complete, write the words "Let Freedom Ring!" across the banner.

    TIPS

  • These patriotic fans make great party favors for a Fourth of July gathering or to take along to keep little ones cool at a local Fourth of July parade.
